Mr. Bikramaditya Ghosh Mr. Pretom Das ... for the State The petitioner has filed the present writ application praying for grant of compensation in lieu of the land acquired by the authorities.

Counsel for the petitioner submits that the authorities have acquired the land of the petitioner but till date no compensation has been awarded to the petitioner.

Counsel for the respondent submits that whatever the land has been acquired, compensation has already been awarded and released.

It is found from the record that the acquisition proceeding was initiated in the year 2008 and it was acquired in the year 2015. As per the allegation made by the petitioner till date no compensation has been awarded. Though the petitioner has enclosed the track report wherein the petitioner has submitted the representation, but the copy of the representation is not enclosed with the instant writ application. Accordingly,

this Court directs the petitioner to make a comprehensive representation to the respondent no.6 i.e. Special Land Acquisition Collector, Coochbehar within a period of a week from date and if any representation is made by the petitioner within the period, as mentioned above, the respondent no.6 shall consider the representation and dispose of the said representation of the petitioner by giving an opportunity of hearing to the petitioner within four weeks from the date of receipt of the representation.

In view of the above, WPA No. 1125 of 2023 is disposed of.

Affidavit-of-service filed by the petitioner be kept with the record.
