The application for anticipatory bail is made on the ground that the petitioner had not participated in the actual forgery of fraudulent deeds. It is submitted that a clerk of the concerned Registry Office had committed the forgery.

The FIR was registered by the Falakata Police on 7th March, 2025 on the complaint of the BL & LRO. 3.

The matter, therefore, assumes some importance. These are matters for investigation.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that in the event the petitioner is called by the police under Section 41A of the Cr.P.C., the petitioner shall extend all cooperation.

Learned counsel for the State submits that there is fullfledged racket going with regard to forging of title deeds and making false entries in the revenue records. The said entries do not match with the RS Khatian and other records. 6.

Having regard to the gravity of the charges and the consequences on the public at large, this Court is not inclined to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner.

The application for anticipatory bail is, thus, rejected. (Rajasekhar Mantha, J.)
