The attention of this Court has been drawn to letter dated 28th April, 2023 whereby the petitioner after participating in the selection process for appointment of ASHA Karmee in Korani Para Sub Centre under Kharia Gram Panchayat, Sadar Block, District-Jalpaiguri has prayed for supply of information of result of the said selection process and individual marks awarded

by the appointing authorities in favour of the petitioner as well as the selected candidate. The learned advocate representing the Staterespondents has opposed the prayer of the petitioner on the score that under the relevant guidelines relating to engagement of ASHA Karmee disclosure of marks obtained by the candidates is not permissible.

This Court has perused the representation of the petitioner dated 28th April, 2023 and has also considered the submissions made on behalf of the State-respondents relating to the guidelines which are applicable in the matter of engagement of ASHA Karmee.

However, having considered the prayer made in the writ petition it appears that in order to maintain transparency in engagement of ASHA Karmee in the aforesaid sub centre disclosure of marks awarded to the petitioner and private respondents is sine qua non.

Accordingly, the concerned respondent authorities are directed to supply the details of marks awarded to the petitioner and the respondent no. 7 within a period of three weeks from the date of communication of this order.

With the aforesaid directions, the writ petition stands disposed of.

There shall be no order as to costs.

Urgent photostat certified copy of the order, if applied for, be given to the parties, upon usual undertakings.
