This is an application under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, wherein the petitioner is aggrieved by the inaction on the part of the respondents in considering the application of the petitioner for a route of permit in respect of a particular contract carriage.

I have heard the submissions made by the respective parties and perused the materials on record. 4.
In the light of the above submission, I direct the respondent no.2 being the Regional Transport Authority, Alipurduar, M.V. Department, Alipurduar to consider the application of the petitioner for route permit within a period of six weeks from the date of communication of this order.

This writ petition being W.P.A. 882 of 2019 is, accordingly, disposed of.
6. Since no affidavit is called for, the allegations made in the writ petition are deemed to have been denied.

Urgent Photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be handed over to the parties on compliance of necessary formalities.
