The application for anticipatory bail is pressed by the petitioners on the ground that dispute between the de facto complainant and the applicants arose in connection with organizing a local Puja.

Counsel for the State opposes the prayer for anticipatory bail.

It appears from the records that the injuries sustained by the victims are simple in nature. There were slaps and scuffling between the parties.

In these circumstances, this Court is inclined to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioners.

Accordingly, this Court directs in the event of arrest, the petitioners be released on bail upon furnishing a bond of Rs.1,000/- (Rupees One thousand only) each, with two sureties of like amount each, one of whom must be local, to the satisfaction of the arresting officer and also subject to the conditions as laid down under Section 482(2) of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023 and on condition that the petitioners shall cooperate with the investigation and on further condition that the petitioners shall appear before the jurisdictional court and pray for regular bail within four weeks from date.
