1. The petitioner prays for bail. He is in custody since June 29, 2023. 741.77 gm of Tramadol HCL was recovered from his possession.

2. It has been submitted that the trial is being delayed for a considerable period of time due to non-production of witnesses. The right to liberty of the petitioner is being infringed.

3. The prayer for bail is opposed by the learned counsel for the State. The case diary has been produced. The same is perused.

4. Learned APP submits that evidence of CSW nos.11 and 13 is required to be taken. The presiding officer was not available on few occasions resulting in delay of the trial.

5. It has been brought to the notice of the Court that the next date fixed before the trial court is July 17, 2026.

6. As it appears that huge quantity of contraband articles were recovered from the possession of the petitioner, accordingly, this Court is not inclined to allow the prayer for bail of the petitioner.

7. The application stands dismissed.

8. The case diary is returned.

9. The learned trial court is requested to ensure that the trial proceeds in a time bound manner. The evidence of the CSW 11 and 13 shall be recorded as early as possible. 10.
