The lands of the petitioners have been acquired under The National Highways Act, 1956 (hereinafter referred to as the "Said Act of 1956" in short) for maintenance, management and operation of National Highway No. 31D.

The petitioners have been served with a notice under Section 3G(4) of the said Act of 1956, in pursuance thereof, the petitioners have submitted relevant documents including the document of title, with the competent authority.

The grievance of the petitioners is that the compensation amount has not yet been paid to them. The representations of the petitioners praying for such compensation are pending before the Special Land

and Land Reforms Officer, the respondent no. 3 herein, the competent authority under the said Act of 1956. The petitioners are praying disposal of their such representations.

The said respondent is directed to dispose of the said representations in accordance with law after giving the petitioners opportunity of hearing.

The entire exercise in this regard is required to be completed within a period of six weeks from the date of communication of this order.

WPA 1111 of 2025 is disposed of with the above terms without any order as to costs.
