It is submitted by the learned advocate representing the petitioner that it is true cheque was issued in favour of the petitioner but the same has not been encashed. It is also submitted that petitioner has grievance with regard to quantification of compensation.
Power Grid Corporation of India Limited is represented by learned advocate who submits that cheque was issued in favour of the petitioner for payment of compensation but whether it has been encashed or not that has to be looked into.
Having considered the respective submissions made on behalf of the parties, the writ petition stands disposed of directing the concerned authority of Power Grid Corporation of India Limited to make payments towards compensation to the petitioner through electronic mode on sharing bank details by the petitioner, if cheque which was issued previously has not been encashed.
Petitioner is directed to share bank details with the concerned authority of Power Grid Corporation of India Limited by fortnight from date. On receipt of bank details concerned authority of Power Grid Corporation of India Limited is directed to make payment of compensation to the petitioner by fortnight thereafter if by this time payment has not been made to the petitioner.
On receiving compensation if petitioner finds quantification has been made inappropriately leave is granted to the petitioner to take steps in accordance with law questioning quantification of compensation.
Urgent photostat certified copy of the order, if applied for, be given to the parties, upon usual undertakings.
