Mr. Arijit Ghosh ....For the petitioners Mr. Nabankur Paul Mr. Pradip Sarkar ...For the State Mr. Uttam Kumar Mondal ...For the Power Grid Corporation of India Limited Matter is taken up for consideration in terms of the order dated 18th December, 2024 when learned advocate representing the petitioner submits on instruction that the cheque which was issued by concerned authority of Power Grid Corporation of India Limited has not been encashed and it was returned to the said authority.
Power Grid Corporation of India Limited is represented by learned advocate who submits if cheque which was issued for payment of compensation to the petitioner has not been encashed in that event necessary direction may be given upon the concerned authority of Power Grid Corporation of India Limited for making payment
towards compensation which is payable to the petitioner.
Having considered the respective submissions made on behalf of the parties, writ petition stands disposed of directing the concerned authority of Power Grid Corporation of India Limited to make payments through electronic mode to the petitioner towards compensation if cheque which was previously issued in favour of the petitioner has not been encashed. Petitioner is directed to share details of his bank account with the concerned authority of Power Grid Corporation of India Limited by 7 (seven) days from date. On receipt of such bank details concerned authority of Power Grid Corporation of India Limited is directed to make payment through electronic mode by fortnight thereafter in favour of the petitioner provided payment is not made by this time in favour of the petitioner.
On receiving compensation if petitioner finds quantification has been made inappropriately leave is granted to the petitioner to take steps in accordance with law questioning quantification of compensation.
Urgent photostat certified copy of the order, if applied for, be given to the parties, upon usual undertakings.
