The petitioner is aggrieved by the deletion of his name from the voters' list. According to the petitioner, no reason had been assigned for such deletion. The petitioner could neither contest the recent Lok Sabha election nor could he exercise his voting rights. The learned advocate for the Election Commission of India submits that the petitioner himself had already applied under Form-6. The learned advocate assures that the matter will be dealt with as expeditiously as possible, upon incorporation of the petitioner's name in the voters list.

Under such circumstances, this Court directs that the necessary rectification of the voters list will be made and a new voter's card must be issued within a month from the date of communication of this order. The card

shall be delivered at the petitioner's address mentioned in the cause title of the writ petition.

Accordingly, the writ petition is disposed of. However, there will be no order as to costs.

Parties are directed to act on the basis of the server copy of this order.
