For the State Learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is innocent and he has been falsely implicated in this case. He is in custody since 9th March, 2022.
Learned counsel appearing for the State opposes the prayer for bail. It is also submitted that the petitioner is married. On consideration of the statement of the victim under Section 164 of the Code of Criminal Procedure read with the medical examination report, we are not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner at this stage. The application for bail of the petitioner is rejected. CRM 251 of 2023 is accordingly, disposed of.
Learned Trial Judge is requested to expedite the trial and conclude the same within a reasonable time without granting any unnecessary adjournment to either of the parties, unless it is avoidable.
