Mr. Joydeep Kanta Bhowmik, Mr. Sayantan Bhowmik, Ms. Rikta Sarkar, ... For the Petitioner.
Mr. Kallol Acharjee, Mr. Chattu Roy, Mr. Saikat Chatterjee, ... For the State Having considered the order passed by the Coordinate Bench on 1st December, 2022 while in rejecting the prayer for bail it was observed that the Trial Court is directed to the expedite the trial preferably within a period of one year from that date and the said statutory period has expired and we do not find any reason to revisit the prayer for renewal of bail at this stage. In view of the order passed by the Coordinate Bench, we expect that the Trial Court shall make all endeavour to conclude the trial within the aforesaid time without granting any adjournment to either of the parties unless it is unavoidable.
Accordingly, the application for bail is, thus, rejected and stands disposed of.
