1. The police authorities will file a report indicating the number of police personnel that were deployed pursuant to the order of this Court.

2. By an order dated March 26, 2021, the Coordinate Bench had directed that one A.S.I. and three constables of police were to be deployed at the location for a period of sixty days from the date of the order as per the direction of the Superintendent of Police dated February 26, 2020. The petitioner submits that a sum of Rs.307260/- was deposited by the petitioner, but adequate police force, as directed by the Coordinate Bench, had not been deployed. The petitioner contends that further police protection should be given free

of cost in view of non-deployment of the number of police personnel as paid for.

3. This writ petition is disposed of with a direction upon the Superintendent of Police, Cooch Behar to look into the allegation of the petitioner and pass a reasoned order. If it is found that number of police personnel, as directed by the said authority, had not been deployed, then additional assistance shall be given to the petitioner to cover up the cost which was deposited by the petitioner. If it is found that the adequate police force, as assessed by the Superintendent of Police, had been deployed and the money deposited by the petitioner was against such deployment and utilized therefor, then the petitioner shall be informed accordingly.

4. The entire exercise shall be completed within a period of six weeks from the date of communication of this order.

5. Accordingly, the writ petition is disposed of.

6. However, there shall be no order as to costs.

7. The parties are directed to act on the basis of the server copy of this order.
