The petitioner alleges that the State authorities, specially the Block Land & Land Reforms Officer had distributed lands belonging to the petitioner after a vesting proceeding, despite a protective order which had been passed in WP 26036 (w) of 1997. Prima facie, it appears that the petitioner is aggrieved by an alleged vesting proceeding and distribution of lands by grant of patta.
The West Bengal Land Reforms Act, 1955 is a specified Act and any person aggrieved by inaction or an overt act of any officials in performance of duties under the said Act, ought to approach the Land Reforms and Tenancy Tribunal.
The writ petition is accordingly disposed of. However, there will be no order as to costs.
All the parties are directed to act on the basis of the server copy of this order.
