Petitioner(s) Mr. Sudip Guha ... for the petitioner(s) Mr. Tapan Bhattacharjee Mr. Sagnik Sankar Sikdar ... for the State Learned advocate for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is 71-year-old and he has been falsely implicated in connection with the instant case. It is further submitted that the name of the present petitioner do not appear in the medical report and his complicity, as such, is not expressed in the statement of the witnesses.

On the other hand, learned advocate for the State opposes the prayer for bail and submits that the petitioner is similarly placed with all the accused persons who have inflicted injuries upon the victim. Learned advocate also

draws the attention of the court to the medical report which reflects that the injuries are grievous.

Having considered the complicity of the present petitioner in the alleged commission of offence, I am of the view that the present case is not a fit case for granting anticipatory bail, as such, the prayer for bail of the petitioner is Rejected.

Accordingly, CRM(A) 336 of 2025 is dismissed. Pending application(s), if any, is also disposed of. Parties to act on a server copy of this order duly collected from the official website of the Hon'ble High Court, Calcutta.
