The District Inspector of Schools (SE), Alipurduar and the District Inspector of Schools (SE), Jalpaiguri are present.
The District Inspector of Schools (SE), Alipurduar of the concerned school, wherein the writ petitioner is working, has brought a cheque of Rs.6,16,334/- (Rupees six lakh sixteen thousand three hundred thirtyfour only) drawn on State Bank of India, Alipurduar Branch dated 11th March, 2020 in favour of Subrata Mukherjee, being the writ petitioner.
It is submitted by the District Inspector of Schools (SE), Alipurduar that the said amount of Rs.6,16,334/- is payable in terms of the order dated 14th June, 2016 towards arrear of post graduate scale as directed in the said order.
The petitioner will receive and encash this cheque without prejudice to his rights for claiming interest on the arrear sum since there has been a delay of about four years in paying the arrear sums. The petitioner shall also be entitled to ventilate his grievances regarding the quantum of money paid, if on receipt of this amount the petitioner finds that certain other sum is still receivable by the petitioner.
Since the petitioner is not present in Court, the aforesaid cheque on completion of the formalities shall be made over to the advocate-on-record of the petitioner upon due authentication.
Personal presence of the District Inspector of Schools (SE), Alipurduar is dispensed with.
Nothing further remains in the writ petition to be decided. The writ petition is disposed of.
There shall be no order as to costs.
Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be given to the parties on usual undertakings.
