Mr. Chakraborty is entitled to have a junior of his choice. The appointment of both Mr. Chakraborty and the junior of his choice, if any, may be regularized by the concerned authorities.

The subject-matter of the revisional application relates to expeditious disposal of the trial relating to GR Case No. 190 of 2025.

I find from the records of the case that the investigation of the case is still in progress in connection

with Pundibari P.S. Case No. 95 of 2025. Until and unless the investigation of the case is completed, there is no scope for commencement of the trial.

Having regard to the same, I direct that a superior officer of the police in the rank of Additional Superintendent of Police and/or Deputy Superintendent of Police and/or Sub-Divisional Police Officer will monitor regarding the progress of the investigation so that the same can be taken to its logical conclusion within a reasonable period of time. With the aforesaid observations, CRR 245 of 2025 is disposed of.
