The petitioner has relied upon the letters dated 27th August, 2021 and 17th September, 2021 issued by the Executive Engineer, PWD, Jalpaiguri Electrical Division.

It appears that the petitioner performed emergent works in view of the Lok Sabha Election, 2019 at the request of the respondents.

The petitioner has submitted a bill of Rs.14,97,201/- of which a sum of Rs. 9,58,209/- has been paid. The letters dated 27th August, 2021 and 17th September, 2021 admit the entitlement of

the petitioner and three other persons. It is further stated that funds are awaited from the appropriate authorities to liquidate the balance dues of the petitioner.

In that view of the matter, the respondent nos. 5 to 8 are directed to take suitable steps, preferably within a period of four months from the date of communication of this order, in terms of their assurances given in their letters dated 27th August, 2021 and 17th September, 2021.

With the above observations, this writ petition is disposed of.
