Given the facts and circumstances of the present case and having heard the arguments of the learned counsel for the State and the petitioner, this Court is of the view that interest of justice will be sub-served, if the learned District and Sessions Judge, Jalpaiguri is directed to fix an early date for commencement of trial.
It is ordered that the trial should be completed mandatorily and positively, within a period of eight months from the date of communication of a copy of this order.
C.R.M. (NDPS) 195 of 2022, shall stand rejected.
