Heard the learned Counsels appearing on behalf of the parties. Having considered the materials in the case diary disclosing prima facie involvement of the petitioner in strangulating his wife, we are of the opinion that in view of the gravity of the offence, this is not a fit case to grant bail to the petitioner at this stage. Accordingly, the prayer for bail of the petitioner is rejected. Trial court, however, is requested to expedite the trial and conclude the same at an early date without granting unnecessary adjournment to either of the parties.
