Report filed on behalf of the State is taken on record. Learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner submits as follows. The petitioner's land was acquired for construction of multi-utility for Bagdogra Airport. A compensation amount was calculated. A date was fixed for payment of such compensation. Notice was accordingly issued. But, the petitioner was unable to go and collect the compensation amount on that particular date. After that, he had been pursuing the respondent authorities for collecting the compensation in question, but he has not been entertained.

Learned AAG representing the State submits that the compensation amount has already been ascertained and would be paid to the petitioner in accordance with law.

It appears that the petitioner is entitled to compensation in connection with the acquisition of his to land and a notice was issued for him to collect the amount. In view of the above, let the petitioner make a representation before the respondent no. 6 annexing a copy of the notice for payment within a week from date. Within three weeks therefrom, the State respondents shall arrange for making payment of such compensation to the petitioner.

With these observations, the writ petition is disposed of.
