The writ petitioner complains that his wife died on account of improper treatment at the Fulbari Tea Estate Hospital, P.O. Naxalbari, P.S. Kharibari, Darjeeling. The petitioner has prayed for certain documents from the said hospital which has been denied to him.

Since the petitioner has an effective alternative remedy before the West Bengal Clinical Establishment (Registration & Regulation) Transparency Act, 2017, the writ petition stands dismissed reserving liberty to approach the authorities under the aforesaid Act of 2017. There shall be no order as to costs.
