The petitioner has preferred the present writ petition, being aggrieved by the inaction on the part of the West Bengal Central School Service Commission (respondent no.4) in not considering her application for transfer. 3.

It is the case of the petitioner that she is presently serving as an Assistant Teacher at Barabilla High School (H.S.), P.O. Haptiagachh, Dist. Uttar Dinajpur. The petitioner further submits that she is residing approximately 30.4 kms. away from her place of work, requiring to travel a total of 61 kms. up and down daily. The petitioner further submits that she is suffering from multiple medical ailments necessitating her requirement for transfer to a school closer to her residence. Despite having submitted a representation dated 26.05.2025 before the respondent authorities, no steps have been taken in this regard till date.

Learned Advocate for the respondent no. 4 submits that the authorities are ready and willing to consider the petitioner's representation dated 26.05.2025. 5.

In view of the submission made by the learned Advocate for the respondent no.4, learned counsel for the petitioner submits that his client shall be satisfied if the representation dated 26.05.2025 is decided in a time bound manner by the competent authority.

Accordingly, this Court directs the Chairman, West Bengal Central School Service Commission (respondent no.4) to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 26.05.2025 and pass a speaking order within a period of eight weeks from the date of communication of this order after affording an opportunity of personal hearing to the petitioner.

With the aforesaid directions, the present writ petition is disposed of.

There shall be no order as to costs.

Since no affidavits have been filed by the respondents, the allegations made in the writ petition shall not be deemed to have been admitted.
