The petitioner has filed the present writ application for direction upon the Commissioner, Siliguri Municipal Corporation for consideration of the representation dated 25th April, 2023 and 7th May, 2023.

Counsel for the petitioner submits that initially the petitioner made a complaint on 25th April, 2023 but no action has been taken and subsequently he has served anotice on 7th May, 2023, but in the notice also no steps has been taken.

Considered the prayer made by the Counsel for the petitioner, this Court disposed of the writ petition by directing the Commissioner, Siliguri Municipal

Corporaton to appoint the competent officer for inspection and enquiry in terms of the complaint made by the petitioner and if any violation is found, appropriate steps shall be taken in accordance with law.

The Commissioner, Siliguri Municipal Corporation is directed to give personal hearing to the petitioner and the affected persons, if any and to pass a reasoned and speaking order within six weeks from date of receipt of the copy of this order.

WPA No. 1232/2023 is disposed of.
