Learned counsel appearing for the petitioner filed the instant writ petition seeking a writ of Mandamus directing the respondent no.2 to forthwith issue the promotion order to the petitioner to the rank/post of Planning Assistant to Junior Assistant Planner. Learned counsel appearing for the respondent no.2 appears and states that the respondents are willing to decide the representation filed by the petitioner on 01-06-2023.

Learned counsel for the petitioner states that he will be satisfied if his representation dated 01-06-2023 is decided by the respondents by way of a speaking order.

Learned counsel for the respondents has expressed his inclination to pass a speaking order within six weeks from today.

In view of the above, this writ petition being WPA 1262 of 2023 is disposed of by directing the respondent no.2 to decide the representation of the petitioner dated 01-06-2023 and pass a speaking order, as expressed by the respondent no.2, within a period of six weeks from today.

The respondent no.2 shall communicate the speaking order to the petitioner within a week from the date of passing such order.

Photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the learned counsel appearing for the parties expeditiously subject to compliance of all requisite formalities.
