Learned counsel appearing on behalf of the State points out that the next date has been fixed for examination of the accused under Section 313 of the Code.

At this stage, learned counsel for the petitioner submits that since the prosecution has reached such a mature stage, the petitioner would not like to press the application for bail and would instead participate in the trial. He prays for an expeditious disposal of the same.

It appears that the petitioner is in custody for 237 days and a prosecution of 2021 is still pending, albeit at the stage of examination under Section 313 of the Code. In view of the above, the application for bail is dismissed as not pressed.

However, the learned trial court is requested to make all endeavour to conclude the trial as expeditiously as possible, preferably within a period of three months from date.

Personal appearance of the Divisional Forest Officer is noted and is dispensed with.

The Office is directed to communicate a gist of this order to the learned trial court forthwith.
