1. This is an application for transfer of the matrimonial suit filed by the wife from the Court of the learned Additional District Judge at Tufanganj to the learned District Judge at Coochbehar.

2. The opposite party/husband resides at Jalpaiguri. The petitioner has prayed for the transfer on the ground that she resides with her father and a minor child. The father has since been transferred to Coochbehar. The child will now be admitted to a school in Coochbehar and she also has to undergo some treatment at Coochbehar.

3. Under such circumstances, it would be convenient if the suit is transferred from Tufanganj to Coochbehar. The convenience of the husband in my view will also be ensured if

the suit is transferred to Coochbehar, as he would have to travel a lesser distance.

4. Under such circumstances, MAT Suit No.50 of 2024 which is now pending before the learned Additional District Judge at Tufanganj be transferred to a court of competent jurisdiction at Coochbehar, Sadar.

5. The District Judge, Coochbehar shall call for the records from the Court of the Additional District Judge at Tufanganj and either hear the suit himself or assign it to any other court having jurisdiction.

6. CO 108 of 2025 is, accordingly, disposed of. (Shampa Sarkar, J.)
