1. The application for bail is sought on the ground that the petitioners are in custody for 154 days.

2. This Court has carefully considered the charge sheet. It appears that the petitioners and the co-accused Raj Kumar Roy were summoned from Siliguri by the principal accused Raja Roy @ Neel, to threaten and assault the deceased. The petitioners are no way connected with the disputes between the deceased Pinki Roy, a co-accused, her paramour, the principal accused Bappa Roy and her husband.

3. The petitioners and Raj Kumar Roy appear to be hired professional killers and/or intimidators. Such persons are more dangerous. The petitioner and the said Raj Kumar Roy

must surely have antecedents of similar offences in the past, otherwise they would have been available for hire to commit offences in question.

4. This Court is of the view that enlargement of the petitioners at this stage on bail embolden them to commit further crime.

5. In view of the above, the application for bail of the petitioners is rejected.

6. It is requested that the trial be completed as expeditiously as possible.
