The petitioner appears to be one of the customers of the bank who allegedly introduced other persons to avail of loan from the Bank. One of the witnesses has named the petitioner. Charge sheet has been submitted.

Considering the role of the petitioner in the alleged offence, this Court is of the view that custodial interrogation of the petitioner is not required and he may be granted anticipatory bail.

Accordingly, in the event of arrest, the petitioner Manik Barman @ Manik Chandra Barman be released on bail on furnishing bond of Rs.10,000/-(Rupees Ten Thousand only), with two sureties of like amount each, to the satisfaction of the arresting officer and subject to provision under Section 482(2) of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023. The petitioner shall appear before the jurisdictional Court and pray for regular bail within two weeks from date. The application for anticipatory bail is, thus, disposed of.
