submits that the petitioner has been employed as Assistant Teacher of Political Science in Sankar Nepali High School which is 170 kms. away from his residence and he has been serving in the said school for the last 15 years. The petitioner claims that his parents are aged 80 years and 70 years respectively and are suffering from old age ailments. To that effect, the petitioner submitted a representation with the District Inspector of Schools (S.E.), Alipurduar which was dated 25.06.2024 and was received by the said office on the same date.

Learned advocates for the respondent authorities are present.

In view of the plight expressed by the petitioner, I direct the District Inspector of Schools

(S.E.), Alipurduar, the respondent no.4 herein, to consider the application of the petitioner in accordance with law preferably within a period of four weeks from the date of communication of this order. Needless to mention that in the event the District Inspector of Schools (S.E.), Alipurduar decides in favour of the petitioner, he shall immediately forward the records including his decision to the Chairman, School Service Commission and the Chairman, School Service Commission shall take a decision on such issue as expeditiously as possible but positively within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of the papers from the concerned D.I. With the aforesaid observations, the writ petition being WPA 1375 of 2024 is disposed of. Pending connected application, if any, is consequently disposed of.

There shall be no order as to costs.

All concerned parties shall act on the server copy of this order duly downloaded from the official website of this Court.

Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties upon compliance with all requisite formalities.
