Vs.
The State of West Bengal & Ors.
Mr. Somraj Paul ...for the petitioners.
Ms. Bedashruti Bose, Mr. Kumar Shantanu.
...for the State.
Report filed on behalf of the State is taken on record. Perused the same.
Heard the learned counsels for the parties.
It appears that the victim who was allegedly illegally detained by the police has not approached this Court for seeking relief for the same. It is not that he is unable for some special reason to approach this Court.
Accordingly, the writ petition is disposed of without any further order, albeit, by granting liberty to the victim to seek appropriate relief, if so advised.
However, investigation of the case shall be concluded expeditiously and in accordance with law. Urgent Photostat certified copy of this order may be supplied to the parties expeditiously, if applied for. .
