Learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner submits as follows. The petitioner is an Assistant Teacher employed in a school in the district of Cooch Behar. According to the amended Rules, the petitioner is entitled to seek transfer in case distance between the residence and place of posting is too much. Here, the two places are 999 Km. away. At present, the online portal meant for such purpose mainly "Utsashree" portal is under suspension. That is why an application was made off-line to the Secretary, West Bengal Board of Primary Education on 03.06.2024. However, the same has not been considered.
Learned counsel appearing on behalf of the State submits that the concerned respondent authority would consider the representation of the petitioner in accordance with law.
In view of the pendency of the representation of the petitioner regarding transfer and the suspension of the online portal meant for such purpose, let the representation dated 03.06.2024 made by the petitioner be considered by the respondent no.3 in accordance with law and at the earliest, preferably within a period of four weeks from the date of communication of this order. Within a week thereafter, the outcome of the consideration shall be intimated to the petitioner.
With these observations, the writ petition is disposed of.
