Mr. Subhasish Misra Mr. Satyajit Paul ..for the petitioner Mr. Sudipto Kumar Majumder, DSGI Mr. Sourab Kar ..for Union of India Mr. Suman Saha Ms. Kanika Sarkar ..for respondent nos. 4 and 5 The petitioner in this case is the wife of a deceased employee of the Food Corporation of India. The petitioner submits that her husband was appointed as a handling labourer/ancillary worker under the Food Corporation of India on January 2, 1996. After serving about more than 21 years, he died in harness. The petitioner submits that till date, she has not received any terminal benefits and other dues from the Food Corporation of India.

Learned advocate appearing for the Food Corporation of India, on the other hand, submits that the Food Corporation of India shall release the legitimate dues of the petitioner within a short period of time after verification of all documents.

In that view of the aforesaid stance taken by the the Food Corporation of India, I dispose of this writ petition with a direction upon the Divisional Manager, Food Corporation of India, respondent no.4 to release all the legitimate dues of the petitioner in accordance with law within a period of two months from the date of communication of this order.

Accordingly, WPA 1410 of 2024 is disposed of. Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the learned advocates for the parties on usual undertakings.
