The grievance of the petitioner is directed against excessive action of the police authorities.

It is submitted on behalf of the petitioner that in respect of the subject premises which is in the possession of the petitioner, the police authorities are wrongfully and illegally interfering in respect of purely civil disputes by and between the petitioner and the private respondents.

It is further submitted on behalf of the petitioner that the police have no authority in law to interfere in such civil matters between the petitioner and the private respondents.

The State is represented and submits that there is no interference at all by the police authorities and there is no question of the police forcibly evicting the petitioner without authority of law.

In view of the submission made on behalf of the State, WPA 1724 of 2021 stands disposed of by directing the concerned State-respondents to act in accordance with law and not to take any steps without authority of the law.

With the aforesaid directions, WPA 1724 of 2021 stands disposed of. A photocopy of the Instructions filed on behalf of the State-respondents be kept with the records.
