Anticipatory bail is sought on the ground that he has not been named in the FIR.

It appears from the case diary and the submissions of the learned counsel for the State that the main accused named in the T.I. Parade is one Bappa. The said Bappa is stated to have named the petitioner. The facts as evident from the records are that on 8th June, 2023, when the victim was going to CSP centre on his motor cycle along with cash, laptop and mobile phone, unknown-miscreants intercepted him and attacked him with deadly weapons. They looted the cash of Rs. 7.5. lakhs, laptop and mobile phone.

Miscreants including the petitioner apparently were in the vehicle that intercepted the victim.

Considering the fact that the investigation against the petitioner is still continuing, this court is not inclined to grant anticipatory bail at this stage.
