1. Matter is heard in presence of the learned advocates representing the petitioner and State respondents.

2. Learned advocate representing the petitioner has raised a grievance relating to manner of investigation which has been carried out in connection with criminal proceedings being Siliguri PS Case No. 755/2023 dated 12th September, under Sections 420/468/471/120B of IPC. It is submitted that investigating officer could not make substantial progressed in investigation as a result whereof issue is pending for considerable period of time.

3. Mr. Joyjit Choudhury, learned Additional Advocate General is appearing on behalf of the State respondents and has filed a report dated 5th July, 2025

prepared by the Inspector-in-Charge, Siliguri Police Station, Siliguri Police Commissionerate and same is taken on record.

4. On perusal of the said report it appears in connection with Siliguri PS Case No. 755/2023 dated 12th September, 2023 under Sections 420/468/471/120B of IPC final report was filed vide Siliguri PS. FRMF No. 1038/2024 dated 31st December, 2024.

5. In addition thereto, it is also pointed out from the relevant part of the report dated 5th July, 2025 that charge sheet being no.

1110/2022 dated 25th December, under Sections 420/465/467/468/471/120B of IPC was also filed in connection with Siliguri PS Case No. 364/2022 dated 14th April, 2022.

6. In view of contents of the report dated 5th July, 2025 whereby it is disclosed that steps have been taken by the investigating agency and final report was filed in connection with criminal proceeding being Siliguri PS Case No. 755/2023 dated 12th September, 2023 and filing of charge sheet no. 1110/2022 dated 25th December, 2022 in connection with Siliguri PS Case No. 364/2022 dated 14th April, 2022 no further order need be passed on this writ petition.

7. Writ petition stands disposed of.

8. Petitioner shall be at liberty to take steps in accordance with law in connection with aforesaid criminal proceedings, if so advised.

9. Urgent photostat certified copy of the order, if applied for, be given to the parties, upon usual undertaking. (Saugata Bhattacharyya, J.)
