..for the private respondent The petitioner seeks a writ of habeas corpus in respect of his minor son.
Pursuant to a Report filed by the State dated 6th July, 2025, it appears that there are underlying civil disputes in respect of custody of the minor son.
In fact, in a proceeding initiated by the petitioner under section 100 of the BNSS, it has been held that child is in the custody of the grandparents and has not been wrongfully confined.
After a protracted hearing, the petitioner prays for an opportunity to withdraw this writ petition and take appropriate steps in accordance with law, if so advised.
With the above directions, WPA(H)/3/2025 stands dismissed.
Liberty is granted to the petitioner to take necessary steps in accordance with law, if so advised.
