For the State In view of the fact that the commercial quantity of contraband articles were alleged to have been recovered from the possession of the petitioner, we are not inclined to release the petitioner to bail at this stage. However, taking into consideration that the petitioner is in custody since 18th March, 2018 and the charge-sheet has already been filed, we direct the learned District Judge to dispose of the matter preferably within a period of one year from the date of communication of this order.

The application for bail is, thus, rejected. CRM 1031 of 2021 is, accordingly, disposed of.
