In the said order, the names of the learned advocates appearing on behalf of the State were not recorded. On that day, Mr. Sumit Kumar and Mr. Pradip Sarkar, learned counsels, had appeared for the State.

The inadvertent typographical error is hereby corrected and the order dated 29.07.2024 shall always be read conjointly with this order.

Leave is granted to amend the cause title and add The Chairman, Regional School Service Commission, Hill Region, GTA as a respondent. Let the correction be amended in course of the day.

Corrected copy of the same shall be served upon the learned counsels for the State and the GTA. It appears that the GTA is represented.

Therefore, further service upon any other respondent is dispensed with.

Learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner submits that the petitioner had made an application for compassionate appointment.

It appears from the report of the State that they have forwarded his claims to the said Chairman of the Regional School Service Commission.

Learned counsel appearing on behalf of the State relies on the report filed earlier and submits the application of the petitioner along with a report has been submitted to the Chairman, RSSC Hill Region vide memo no. 193/DI/SE/KPG dated 25.07.2024.

As the State has already forwarded the petitioner's prayer for compassionate appointment

before the concerned respondent authority being the Chairman of the RSSC, no further order need be passed in this regard.

However, the Chairman RSSC shall consider the proposal for compassionate appointment in accordance with law and expeditiously, preferably within a period of four weeks from the date of communication of this order.

With these observations, the writ petition is disposed of.

Urgent photostat certified copy of this order be supplied to the parties, if applied for, as early as possible.
