AGP Mr. Pradip Sarkar ...for the State Learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner submits as follows. The petitioner retired as Auxiliary Nurse & Midwife from Bijanbari Rural Hospital, Bijanbari,District Darjeeling. She received her retirement benefits. However, there was a delay in the same and she did not receive interest on provident fund. It was found out that the delay was on the part of the respondent nos.4 and 5. There were also several missing credits, at least one of which has not been settled yet (for the period of December 2018).

The petitioner made a

representation in this regard dated 16.04.2024, which has not been considered.

Learned counsel appearing on behalf of the State submits that the said representation will be considered in accordance with law and as expeditiously as possible.

Let the respondent nos. 4 and 5 consider the petitioner's representation for payment of interest for the delay in disbursing provident fund amount and for a missing credit amount in accordance with law and at the earliest, preferably within a period of four weeks from the date of communication of this order. Within a week thereafter, they shall communicate the outcome of such consideration to the petitioner and take necessary steps.

With these observations, the writ petition is disposed of.

Urgent photostat certified copy of this order be supplied to the parties, if applied for, as early as possible.
