1. Learned Counsel for the State hands over a report, for our perusal, indicating that the statement under Section 183 BNSS of wife of the petitioner, that is, Smt. Sujata Barman has been taken where she indicates that she had gone willingly with Sri Tapas Kundu.

2. As such, there is no scope of passing further directions in the habeas corpus petition, since the whereabouts of the wife of the petitioner

have clearly been disclosed.

3. Accordingly, WPA (H) of 4 of 2025 is disposed of in view of the same having been rendered infructuous in the light of the above observations. It is made clear that the investigating agency will be at liberty to take the process of investigation to its logical culmination. The statement filed today is returned to the learned counsel for the State for taking appropriate steps in the investigation.

4. The connected communication by the concerned police officer be kept on record.
