The application for bail is sought on the ground that the petitioner is in custody since 30th June, 2022 and that there are discrepancies in the charge sheet.

The driver was trying to flee with the vehicle despite the police trying to stop him. The vehicle was chased and caught by the police. A commercial quantity of Ganja of 134.16 kg has been seized from the accused.

Having considered the entire case diary and the charge sheet and submissions of the Public Prosecutor, it appears that the charge sheet has been put for committal and fixed for framing of charges before the Special Court.

In view of the above, this Court is not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner at this stage.

The application for bail is, thus, rejected.
