Learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner submits that his client is an Assistant Teacher in a secondary school. He had made an application offline before the concerned authorities on 09.07.2024 seeking transfer on the ground of distance and medical reason. The said representation has not been responded to as yet.
Learned counsels appearing on behalf of the State as well as the West Bengal School Service
Commission submit that if a representation has been made before the concerned authority, the same will be considered in accordance with law.
It appears that the petitioner's representation for transfer dated 09.07.2024 is pending consideration.
It further appears that the representation has been made both addressing the DI of School as well as the Secretary, West Bengal School Service Commission.
In view of the above, let the respondent no.5 consider the said representation of the petitioner in accordance with law and expeditiously, preferably within a period of six weeks from the date of communication of this order. Within a week therefrom, the outcome shall be communicated to the petitioner.
With these observations, the writ petition is disposed of.
Urgent photostat certified copy of this order be supplied to the parties, if applied for, as early as possible.
