Despite service, no one appears on behalf of the SJDA, although the State is represented.

Learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner submits that the petitioner was an employee of the SJDA. He was terminated from service as he was charged with offences under Sections 498A and 307 of the Penal Code in a case started by his wife. However, on 22.05.2024, he was acquitted of the charges. Accordingly, the petitioner made a representation dated 06.06.2024 before the respondent no.2, which has remained unanswered.

Learned counsel appearing on behalf of the State submits that the SJDA is the answering respondent.

It appears that an innocuous prayer has been made by the petitioner for consideration of his representation dated 06.06.2024.

In view of the above, in the event the representation of the petitioner dated 06.06.2024 has not yet been responded to, let the respondent no.2 consider such representation in accordance with law at the earliest, preferably within a period four weeks from the date of communication of this order. Within a week thereafter, the respondent no.2 shall communicate the outcome of such consideration to the petitioner and take necessary steps.

With these observations, the writ petition is disposed of.

Urgent photostat certified copy of this order be supplied to the parties, if applied for, as early as possible.
