1. The petitioner claims that in the year 19951996, the land measuring 11 decimal belonging to the father of the petitioner was acquired by the State Land Acquisition Officer, Jalpaiguri. It is on the strength of such acquisition an employment exchange card had been issued in favour of the petitioner.

2. Mr. Guha Roy, learned advocate by placing before this Court the notification dated 21st August, 2022 would submit that the petitioner is entitled to an employment in addition to the compensation since the petitioner falls under the land losers category as the livelihood of the petitioner has been lost by reasons of the same being acquired.

3. Mr. Saha, learned Additional Government Pleader appears on behalf of the State.

4. Having heard the learned advocates appearing for the respective parties, I noticed that no particular of land which was purported to be acquired has been disclosed. The petitioner has also not disclosed the proceedings based on which the State had acquired the petitioner's father's property.

5. Having regard to failure on the part of the petitioner to make any appropriate disclosure in the petition, I am of the view that the writ petition cannot be maintained.

6. The writ petition is accordingly dismissed.

7. There shall be no order as to costs.

8. Urgent certified photo copy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties expeditiously on compliance of usual legal formalities.
