1. Report by the Principal Secretary, School Education Department filed in Court today is taken on record.

2. Copy of the same has been handed over to the learned advocate representing the petitioner in Court today.

3. It appears that there are certain dues of the petitioner which have not been paid for want of fund. The report suggests that fund was sought for by the District Magistrate, Jalpaiguri vide requisition dated 29th May, from the Finance Department, Government of West Bengal. The same has not been furnished till date.

4. The District Magistrate forwarded all the requisitioned documents to the Principal Secretary on 3rd November, 2025 vide Memo No. 360/Edn for releasing the fund.

5. As it appears that the respondents do not dispute the claim of the petitioner, accordingly, the payment that is due to the petitioner ought to be paid without any further delay.

6. The District Magistrate, Jalpaiguri is directed to follow up the matter with the Principal Secretary, Finance Department and the Secretary, School Education Department for allotment of fund for releasing the dues of the petitioner.

7. The respondents shall ensure that the dues of the petitioner are released at the earliest but positively by 31st March, 2026.

8. The writ petition stands disposed of.

9. Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be given to the parties, upon compliance of necessary formalities.
