By this writ petition petitioner has sought relief of direction upon the respondents/ authorities concerned to disburse the interest amount towards gratuity and arrears pension amount in question from the date of death of the pensioners or date of retirement of the pensioners till the date of actual date of payment/disbursement along with interest to the petitioners. Petitioner submits that the issues involved in this writ petition is directly covered by the decision of this Court in the case Januki Rai & Anr. -

vs- The State of West Bengal & Ors. in WPA 2500 of 2022.

Considering the submission of the parties, this writ petition being WPA 2463 of 2022 is disposed of by directing the respondents/authorities concerned to pay to the petitioner interest on gratuity and arrear pension in question with interest at the rate of 8 % p.a. to be calculated from the date when the aforesaid arrear in question became due till the date of such disbursement, within two months.

With the observation and direction made above this writ petitions is disposed of.
