Petitioner prays for bail. He submits there is slow progress in the matter before the trial court. Learned Advocate for the State opposes the prayer for bail. He submits bail prayer of the petitioner was rejected in March, 2022.

We have considered the materials on record including the statement of the victim girl implicating the petitioner in the crime. Bail prayer of the petitioner was rejected in March, 2022.

Under such circumstances and in view of gravity of the offence, we are not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner. Accordingly, the prayer for bail of the petitioner is rejected.

Trial court is directed to expedite the trial and conclude the same at an early date keeping in mind the statutory mandate under Section 35(2) of the POCSO Act. (Ajay Kumar Gupta,J.) (Joymalya Bagchi, J.)
