Mr. Deborshi Dhar, learned advocate led by Mr. Amales Roy, learned counsel appearing through virtual mode, appears for the respondent no.6.

Mr. Subir Kumar Saha, learned ADGP, being ably assisted by Ms. Bedashruti Bose, learned State counsel, appears for the respondent nos. 1 to 5.

Mr. Mazumder, in his usual fairness, submits that there being an alternative,

efficacious, statutory remedy available to the petitioner, he shall not press this writ petition. In view of the above, this writ petition, WPA 1814 of 2024 stands dismissed as not pressed. The petitioner shall be at liberty to initiate appropriate proceeding in accordance with law on the self-same cause of action.

It is once again clarified that this Court has not gone into the merits of this writ petition. (Aniruddha Roy, J.)
