For the State Pursuant to the direction made by this Court 10.9.2024 (Item No. 17) (AB) dated September 2, 2024 a report in the form of affidavit has been affirmed by the respondent No. 5 on September 9, 2024 filed in Court today is taken on record. Copy has already been served upon the learned counsel for the petitioner.

The report shows that a sum of Rs.25,080/- is to be returned and to be deposited by the petitioner on account of Contributory Provident Fund along with interest received by the deceased husband of the petitioner. The petitioner shall deposit the sum positively within a month from date as prayed for the learned counsel for the petitioner. Upon receiving the said sum the respondent authorities shall proceed to disburse the family pension payable to the petitioner, the widow of the deceased State employee, in accordance with law, positively within a period of three weeks from the date of deposit of the said amount by the petitioner.

With the above observations and directions, this writ petition W.P.A. 1818 of 2024 stands disposed of, without any order as to costs.
